Meet Donna Nowak - ShowOffs Founder and Owner

Artists are always experimenting with new mediums and Donna’s no exception. Some of her early creations were in crayon on the walls of her childhood home in Michigan. In spite of the lectures, she’s still drawing on walls, ceilings, faces, bodies, clothing, vehicles... well, let’s just say if it holds paint, Donna has probably sprayed or brushed it on in some fashion.

After many years working with computers, Donna realized that art holds the key to her heart. Obsessed with airbrushing, she trained with experts in various mediums around the country, picking up tricks and tips all along the way. In 1998 she started the body art business of “ShowOffs”. Throughout the year, Donna makes appearances at many of the best-known art shows and conventions and has even traveled to China twice for 6 week stints to train artists at the KIMTOM International Festival. Donna was the official face painter of NFL Super Bowl XL and the MLB World Series. You may have seen her at Mardi Gras-N.O., private events, corporate events, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs or local birthday parties.  Now she's one of the feature guest artist with Graftobian Makeup Company traveling to trade show's and Showing Off her knowldge and educating people about this wonderful business!

Donna has been entertaining crowds for years with tattoos and face painting. Her talent and unique personality have earned her invitations to instruct at various conventions including the International Face and Body Painting convention in Orlando. As a leader in her industry, she's developed instructional DVDs as a way to help others learn the business. When released, they immediately hit markets on five continents and are currently distributed all over the world through various makeup, tattoo and face and body painting companies.

When Donna’s not working a gig, she stays busy spending time with her family and helping out in the community, often speaking at local schools on entrepreneurship and career opportunities in the world of art.

Donna is a true creative spirit with a genuine love for her profession. Her greatest asset is her personality; her passion for life, people and making friends wherever she goes. Whether working with children, celebrities or corporate executives, Donna’s professionalism, talent and easygoing manner puts every client at ease. Donna can ham it up with the best of them, hence the name “SHOW OFFS”.
